Our annual winter celebration will
reward young and old with a memorable country event brimming with tradition, fun
and unmistakable country charm in the heart of the Laurentians, north of
Montreal.
The Morin-Heights
Viking Loppet is a classic style skiing event. Ski-skating is not
permitted.
We offer
three
courses – 10 km, 20 km and 33 km. We will
hold the Loppet regardless of the weather, although courses may be modified
depending on conditions.
Below you will find brief descriptions of each Loppet and charts
showing you the age categories for each event. The categories will
be used by the organizing committee to determine gold, silver and
bronze medal winners for each age group.
NEW! Snowshoe course :
5-km snowshoe race, Coureur des bois (This Loppet start at 11 :15am)
This event is a challenging course in keeping with the legendary reputation of the Coureurs des bois. The course is designed for avid snowshoer with good stamina!
10-km Jan Nordström (This Loppet starts at 10:30 a.m.)
This Loppet is ideal for families with
children. Skiers can descend the area’s scenic aerobic
corridor at a leisurely pace from Wentworth-Nord to
Morin-Heights.
20-km Jack Wahlberg
(This Loppet starts at 10:15 a.m.)
This event will
comprise intermediate trails with moderate climbing and downhill
sections. Difficult sections are relatively short. It will finish at
Basler Park.
