Ski Loppet Morin Heights 2008
The name of the Loppet reflects the rich ski heritage of the two partners who organizing this event: the Municipality of Morin-Heights is the acknowledged Cross Country Ski Capital and the Viking Ski Club is the oldest cross-country organization in Canada.

The 2010 Morin-Heights Viking Loppet is a classic-style skiing event feature this year three skiing events - 10 km, 20 km and 33 km and one 5 km snowshoeing event.

The Loppet, now in its 38th year, continues its wide appeal to classic style skiers, while introducing for the first time a snowshoe event for the rapidly growing snowshoeing population. Don’t miss out, be a part of this traditional day-long event on Sunday, February 28th 2010.

Ski Loppet 2008 Morin HeightsYou need only talk to one of the many skiers who have experienced the Morin-Heights Viking Loppet before: It is the prestigious cross-country skiing event in Eastern Canada, with nicely groomed courses designed to appeal to skiers of all ages and skill levels and a kindred spirit that's second to none.

Our annual winter celebration will reward you with a memorable country event brimming with tradition, fun and unmistakable country charm in the heart of the Laurentians, an easy hour's drive north of Montreal.

The Loppet will take place regardless of the weather, although courses may be modified depending on conditions. Cut-off times will be enforced where participants are unable to complete their event within a reasonable time.   

All registered skiers, will have access to:

  • Ski waxing assistance on site
  • First aid services
  • Shuttle buses
  • ChampionChip electronic timing
  • Opportunity to earn gold, silver or gold medals
  • Refreshment stations
  • Souvenir Loppet pin
  • Post-race meal
